hello...I am a mum to a family of 6 as well. I saw your url under Lyn Websters blog. Just curious if you are willing to share how you keep your grocery bill to $150 and how your family survives on 3 - 2litres of milk a week....Thanks. I am very inspired by your blog. Just need to conquer one thing at a time though, and right now, it is my grocery budget/meal plan

@Sooner
Hi there, thanks for the comment... what I thought I would do is write a post about it.... that way it will be easier to explain. Also we buy atleast 3 x 3lts of milk a week, because we just can't do without (loveit!), sorry if my comment that I left was incorrect. Anyway give me a couple of days and I should have it posted. Cheers Laura

hi I would love to know how u stop the knit from unraveling when u cut it?

Hi Natasha, I was worried about this too, so when I cut it I made sure I had a inch wide seam allowance to prevent it unravelling close to where I sewed.. although saying that surprisingly even though it was a lacey knit it didn't unravell badly and once it was sewn it has held up really well.... I have washed it several times in the washing machine with no problem. Though if you are concerned when trying it yourself, maybe you could mark your pattern out on the knitted item, then sew before you cut the seam alowances, or even zig zag the edges of each of the pattern pieces before you piece it together.
I am guessing every knit would have to be treated differently
